In our ACTIVATE program players start to use a variety of spins and footwork patterns. Players become aware of strategy and begin to learn about attacking and defensive play.

In our ACTIVATE program players start to use a variety of spins and footwork patterns. Players become aware of strategy and begin to learn about attacking and defensive play.
In ACTIVATE players will learn to:
- Apply the fundamentals of correct technique
- Achieve a consistent hitting zone on ground strokes
- Perform a consistent ball toss and serve
- Rally with a partner using forehands and backhands
- Have the ability to vary the height, spin and direction of the ball
- Perform a volley and overhead smash
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship.
ACTIVATE program summary
- 1 hour class
- 9 week term with 1 week for make up lessons
- Average 6-8 pupils per coach
- Modified equipment used (3/4 court, orange 50% compression balls)
- A fun and encouraging program
- All players receive a progress report card at the end of term
- Includes ACTIVATE squads by invitation for advanced players
