We have a range of casual coaching classes to suit recreational/social players through to high performance squads for those wanting to advance their tennis. For more information on why Tennis is great for kids, see our article on 10 good reasons to play Tennis.
The following diagram outlines our Junior programs and the suggested path they take at Parkside Tennis Academy.
The majority of our players start with Hot Shots Coaching which uses modified equipment to suit their age. After 1 term of Tennis we recommend students also join our Hot Shots Play competition where players learn to score and participate in match play. It gives students more purpose to their weekly coaching sessions.
Students who show an ability and enthusiasm for the sport will be invited to join our high performance squads to train with more intensity and increase their time on court. Squads are held twice a week and use high-tech training aids such as video analysis and racket sensors. Our Squad students are also encouraged to advance to our colourball league.
A range of inter-club tournaments are also available for recreational and advanced players.
