We take the health of our students, staff and wider community seriously. We are currently adhering the the following COVID-19 guidelines as outlined by Tennis ACT and the Queanbeyan Park Tennis Club.

General Queanbeyan Park Tennis Club COVID-19 Guidelines
- Maximum of 20 people per court including players, coach, and spectators.
- The external toilet is accessible to all players and spectators.
- The clubhouse is closed to players – members/non-members coaching participants and spectators.
- Everyone needs to take personal responsibility for their/their child’s participation at the QPTC complexes.
- Players, coaches, members, volunteers and families are encouraged to download and use the COVIDSafe app.
- The committee and coaching staff will keep sites as clean and safe as possible.
- The Campbell St complex, the front gate keypad, external toilet and surfaces will be cleaned daily by either committee members or coaching staff.
- The QPTC Committee working closely together with the Parkside Tennis Academy will consider COVID-19 communication requirements.
- Emerging COVID-19 issues are considered time critical and where necessary decision making on actions required will be managed by the Club’s Executive Committee, including for the facilities to be thoroughly cleaned/temporarily closed (if necessary); Record of Attendance information is accessible for contact tracing and support of any requests for contact tracing efforts from Authorities; and determine if communication with members and players/court users is necessary and conforms with appropriate privacy considerations.
Coaching Guildlines
- It is recognised that junior coaching may require the attendance of a parent/guardian. One adult per minor participant is allowed.
- Any spectators should be separated from participants and maintain physical distancing from other spectators of at least 1.5m.
- Players are positioned at well-spaced stations.
- Lessons finish 5 mins early to ensure no cross over between players.
- Live ball drills and game based play is recommended over basket based.
- Social distancing is maintained at all times including when giving feedback and while players are resting.
- The use of coaching equipment is limited such as target cones.
- Payments to be made online via EFTPOS – avoid handling cash.
- Coaching participants should not open or close the gates, this must be done by the coach.
